EXCELLENT!!! submitted by Yingchen on June 23, 2013, 11:18am it was amazing how a little girl could such amazing things and how miss honeys aunt is really the principal and how much the trunchbull hates children and has so much power and how that note that one that matilda created with her eyes and the chalk can scare the trunchbull into leaving the school and remember it was only a little tiny note.

Terrific! submitted by crazypockets on July 23, 2013, 1:15pm Roald Dahl is one of my favorite authors, and I think this movie completely did him justice. Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman play the obnoxious, ridiculously mean parents perfectly. And the Trunchbull is just how I always imagined her. The movie stays really close to the storyline of the book too which I liked a lot. Great for kids, especially those kids who feel misunderstood or like they don't fit in.

It captures the innocence and wonder of childhood imagination and its confrontation with a serious and oppressive adult world. It reminds you to never stop being young-at-heart. I recommend for adults and kids!
