Funny movie! submitted by Xris on June 19, 2018, 9:17pm I could see a lot of things coming, but that didn't make it less enjoyable. The Rock's smolder, Gillan's dance fighting, Jack's cross-gender humor, and the short/small Hart jokes all made for a hilarious movie. Want to see it again!

(My husband likes action adventures and I love romance/old movies/feel-good stuff...) This movie has a bit of everything; the plot is solid; the ending is unexpected and satisfying. Plus, if you grew watching the Jumanji animated series (as I did), it's also a nostalgic, walk-down-memory-lane viewer experience. Super enjoyable. I'd watch it again.

Funny submitted by jcottey on August 7, 2020, 8:15am I didn't have high hopes for this movie, but it was actually very funny and enjoyable. I didn't realize Nick Jonas was in it and laughed when he appeared. Good humor, adventure, and characters.

Surprisingly Solid (as a Rock) submitted by Meginator on August 22, 2020, 9:40pm I was really (pleasantly!) surprised by how well this turned out. This film knows exactly what it is, and its blend of predictable plot developments, exciting action sequences, pitch-perfect casting, and self-aware humor strikes a good balance. The update to the original setup, making Jumanji a video game instead of a board game, makes sense and hits heavy on nostalgia for viewers who were kids when the first Jumanji film came out (along with some well-placed references to Alan Parrish). This is an excellent comedic film that doesn’t take itself seriously yet still delivers compelling emotional beats, all without becoming entirely farcical. It’s a tough trick to pull off but they did it here.
