It revolves around the Dutton family, led by John Dutton who controls the largest ranch in the U.S. that is under constant attack by those it borders: land developers, an Indian reservation and America's first National Park. This is a world where land grabbers make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.
DVD, wide screen.
COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Really incredibly bad submitted by mandevil on April 19, 2021, 11:42am Too over the top. Embarrassing
Awful submitted by courtneyhooper on August 23, 2022, 9:30pm A soap opera starring men, so we’re supposed to take it seriously or something. The characters make no sense, plots are picked up and dropped with no explanation. I wish I could say it was harmless, but its portrayal of Native people is deeply offensive and hurtful. They are either abject—suicidal, drunk, living in rundown trailers with a dozen kids—or equal in financial and political power to highly connected, very rich white ranchers. And of course, the audience is supposed to root for those white ranchers, not the Native folks. Heinous.
