Antipodean crime submitted by jmerlinw on August 5, 2019, 7:51pm If you've watched Inspector Morse, Poirot, and all the versions of Miss Marple for the third time each, the Brokenwood mysteries offer a diversion: crimes without the gratuitous violence, affable characters, nice plot twists -- and all in Kiwi speech (english subtitles recommended : -)

Taste of New Zealand submitted by jldetlefs on September 22, 2019, 7:50pm If you are a fan of Midsomer Murders - similar series set in town of Brokenwood, New Zealand. I really like the characters and it is a "cozy" murder series - nothing too graphic or dark and a taste of humor, colorful characters and I love the scenery - so beautiful. I hope to visit New Zealand someday.
