The phantom zone, the parallax, the upside down, there is a rich cultural history of exploring in-between places. Through her latest album, Weyes Blood, a.k.a. Natalie Mering has designed her own universe to soulfully navigate life's mysteries. Maneuvering through a space-time continuum, she plays the role of melodic, sometimes melancholic, anthropologist. Tellingly, Mering classifies the album, as the Kinks meet WWII or Bob Seger meets Enya.

Favorite Album submitted by cbitsko on June 22, 2023, 12:59pm There are very few albums these days which I listen to start to finish. And then repeat. And repeat again. And again. Weyes Blood is known for her melancholic songs and soothing voice, there is no shortage of that here. A true Sad Girl artist. There have been many nights where I fall asleep to this album because it's such a comfort.
