Jack Cunningham was a basketball star with a full university scholarship when he walked away from the game, forfeiting his future. Now years later, Jack is spiraling down, and drowning in alcoholism. When he is asked to coach the team at his alma mater, he reluctantly accepts. As the boys start to come together as a team and win, Jack may have finally found a reason to confront his demons. But will it be enough to heal the deep wounds of his past and set him on the road to redemption?

Unexpected submitted by irenzero on August 20, 2020, 10:36pm considering the tropes of films about... sports, loss, grief, alcoholism, high school teams... this film is an anomaly in that it deals with these tropes in a way that is never preachy or showy. This is a film with no easy answers, with complex ideas, that manages to keep the narrative moving forward..
