A real challenge submitted by bec on June 14, 2021, 12:25pm First of all, loved the birds. Working on this puzzle has helped me identify some of the birds I see around Ann Arbor, which has been especially cool. The white space between birds, broken up by a subtle line pattern, is a real challenge.

Not easy submitted by teri on June 22, 2023, 9:27am A fun puzzle, but more difficult than expected because of the white space. Learning more about bird identification was an added bonus.

Educational, But Tricky submitted by Meginator on July 10, 2023, 11:36pm This puzzle features an all-star lineup of North American birds, including many that frequent Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas; however, the birds are not identified on the puzzle itself and you have to look at the tiny print on the back of the box to see each bird’s name. This is quite a challenge to put together, with a relatively high proportion of pieces consisting solely of background or primarily of background with very tiny and unidentifiable bits of bird, and I was frequently surprised when a piece fell into place somewhere unexpected. However, with this level of difficulty the joy of an eventual solution becomes that much sweeter, and the drawings are colorful, true to life, and easily identifiable from a distance. This is a good choice for bird-lovers and veteran jigsaw solvers alike although, again, it can be rather difficult toward the end.

Lovely artwork submitted by lisibit on June 19, 2024, 6:02am Sibley’s illustrations are lovely, it’s worth sticking through this tricky puzzle.

Trickier than you’d think! submitted by asjackson on August 3, 2024, 8:22am The amount of white space in this one and shared details among birds make this one a fun challenge! It’s a beautiful image when finished.

Rather boring submitted by sarai koster-mockeridge on July 3, 2025, 5:51pm The bird illustrations are beautiful, however the amount of white space, while making the puzzle challenging, also make it tedious. There are more interesting ways to increase the challenge level without compromising the visual aesthetics.

3/5 submitted by juliehopkins on July 23, 2025, 7:55pm A challenging puzzle isn't always a good puzzle.

Love it submitted by ameliak9111 on August 8, 2025, 12:32pm As a birder, I will automatically love anything with birds. That being said, I'm also an avid puzzler, and not every bird puzzle checks my boxes. This one does though! There is some white space, yes, but I like finding those pieces with just a little bit of color on them (which is most of the "white" pieces).
