Very Strange submitted by sara on July 31, 2021, 4:07pm And slightly upsetting.

Appreciated this one submitted by russelan on June 20, 2022, 8:19pm This was a tough one to get into but I really appreciated it. In some ways, I feel like it's possible for me to relate to almost all characters. I felt like Mason did a good job showing how complicated mental illness is - the stigma associated with a diagnosis and also the relief of having a diagnosis.

Moving and excruciating submitted by Emily LB on August 11, 2023, 3:24pm I wouldn’t say I enjoyed reading this book. It was dark and difficult at times. But it was a moving and fascinating portrayal of mental illness and it has stuck with me long after I finished it. 4/5

well-written and agonizing submitted by alotofaxolotl on December 16, 2023, 8:11pm It is a bit like watching a car accident happening and being unable to prevent it from happening, over and over. An emotionally intense book. The reader will fully know the emotional experience of mental illness. I was a bit skeptical that the mother character could change 180 degrees. At the end, it dragged a bit too long for me...it could have ended a few chapters earlier.
