Introspective submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2022, 8:52am This album is calm and introspective, featuring Adele’s haunting and soulful voice at the lower end of its range and casting a spell in the process as she moves seamlessly from ballad to ballad. Each of the songs has its own unique power and flow and, surprisingly, the album doesn’t feel at all empty despite the lack of tempo and stylistic variation. Instead, these tracks represent an artist who knows who she is and what she wants to do creatively; unsurprisingly, Adele hits it out of the park yet again even if the album may take a few spins to really settle inside of you.
