If you love historical fiction and fine art this book, or any by Susan Vreeland, is sure to delight. The tale is one of a modern day mystery, with the tale taking us further and further back in time, through many different hands and across continents. The Girl in Hyacinth Blue is a long lost and otherwise unknown work of Vermeer, the painter whose brilliance and yet small body of known work is a mystery in himself.
Wonderful story to take you through time in a way that you need to remind yourself this is still a work of fiction.
