COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Old Time Folk and Roll submitted by Meginator on August 20, 2021, 7:45pm This album trades in rich simplicity, offering crystal-clear modern recordings of old Pennsylvania folk tunes in stripped-down instrumentation that keeps the focus on the music itself. The songs themselves draw on a number of rich folk traditions, most predominantly those of Scotland and Ireland, and each instantly draws the listener in with a fast melody. The playing style is precise yet natural, feeling like a the kind of live performance you just might stumble upon in Pennsylvania coal country, and the listening experience is overall very positive.
