Funny at times, a popular chef quits his job and with the help of an ex-wife, his son, and his best friend and starts a food truck business. As usual, his love of food again grows as does his love of life and his family. A decent movie.

Barely Plausible submitted by Beth Manuel on July 20, 2015, 9:31am There were several aspects of this movie for which I had to suspend belief. One was that Jon Favreau was the ex-husband of Sofia Vergara, the other was that they could rehab a broken down food truck in the amount of time and quality they were able to on-screen. I don't think it deserved an R rating at all, and Jon Favreau's character was unpleasant, for the most part. He did make some delicious looking & sounding dishes.Sofia Vergara, beautiful as always, but not a very substantive character. All in all, it was an OK movie. I'm glad I didn't pay to watch it!

With the popularity of food trucks, it's interesting to see how an acclaimed chef ends up owning a food truck, where he reconnects with his 10-year-old son and even his ex-wife.

If you love food and foodie topics, it will have more appeal, though the storyline struck me as fairly light on plausibility overall. There are just a few too many holes in the storyline for the whole thing to jell for me, but it was a pleasant enough way to spend an evening.

The script has a good mix of drama and comedy and the food sounds and looks delicious. Everyone seems to be very invested in the film and the result is a warm, heartfelt story.
