The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie? Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do. You'd like to get to know Grace better. But it's difficult, because you realise Jack and Grace are never apart. Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn't work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.

It isn't.

A sick and dark thriller submitted by aechempati on September 6, 2016, 2:36pm I wouldn't compare this to Gone Girl, but it is a thriller! A sick, perverse thriller that had me mad more than anything else..so I guess in that sense, it's sort of like Gone Girl. Some crazy twists and an ending I didn't quite expect, but then I ended up being right about it. The antagonist made me feel ill at times, and I got mad at the protagonist a lot for being so foolish, but oh well. It's good to have that response, right? Still, a good debut novel and a really quick read under 300 pages. 3.5/5

Disturbing Suspense submitted by sdunav on June 29, 2020, 5:47pm If you like dark suspense, then this is for you. It's hard to put down, and although parts of it were a little predictable, there were still many shocking surprises and plot twists. I thought the ending came a little suddenly - but I would still recommend it.

Behind closed doors submitted by Heather Dombey on May 9, 2022, 12:55am Kept reading in the hopes of understanding the positive reviews but really wished I hadn't. Very poorly written & totally unbelievable. What a waste of good reading time.
