"Seven women give voice to the voiceless. Seven is a documentary play created with the support of Vital Voices Global Partnership and is a collaboration between the playwrights and seven female activists from around the globe, telling inspiring stories of overcoming adversity to effect real change and improve the lives of women.

Powerful voices submitted by sbleanunez on June 13, 2021, 8:14am This play interweaves seven women's stories of finding their voices, becoming activists, and fighting for women's rights in the face of oppression and sometimes even threats. Violence against women is a common theme in many of the stories, which are based on interviews with seven female activists. I was struck by the varied ways in which the women became activists and the near-surprise with which some of them discovered that their voices could be powerful.
