The Gardening & DIY Fest is back! It's a daylong celebration of gardening, nature, and getting hands-on and active! The Fest features artisans & farmers selling jewelry, bath products, fiber crafts, art, flowers, and plants.

Beekeeping 101: Learn the Very Basics of Beekeeping with Bee Present Honey
Learn about beekeeping basics with beekeepers Rebecca and Owen Wittekindt. You will also learn how to support native bees and other pollinators in your garden.

To Dye or Not to Dye
Ann Asplund will tell how to use, find, harvest and grow plant dyes and how to minimize the impact on the environment. Besides teaching the basic of dyeing how the dyes work, and chemical safety, more sustainable practices and alternative mordants will be presented. Color samples will be available.

Michigan DNR Volunteer Stewardship Program
Join Kelsey Dietz from the Michigan DNR’s Stewardship Unit for a talk on the volunteer stewardship program. Learn how you can help eradicate invasive species from high quality ecosystems at local state park land such as Pinckney and Waterloo Recreation Area.

Have you ever wanted to save your seeds, but didn’t know where to start? This fun and informative presentation from author Bevin Cohen highlights the importance of saving and sharing our garden seeds and how to successfully do it at home!
