Age 86, passed away yesterday, Feb. 8, 1976 at the Clague Convalescent Home after several months illness. She was born July 8, 1889 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Aloysius and Elise Klufts. A resident of Ann Arbor for the past 53 years, Mrs. Harkins was married to Mr. Harkins in 1910; he died in 1919. A former supervisor and food buyer at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, she was a member of the Senior Citizens Guild and the Michigan Practical Nurses Association. Survivors include: one son, Leo J. Harkins of Ann Arbor; three daughters, Mrs. Wendell (Helen) Forsythe of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Harold (Leona) DeWard of Holland, Mich., Mrs. Rodney (Mary Virginia) Lemble of Ann Arbor; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Raymond on June 5, 1958. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Reverend Father Frank Srebernak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Dexter. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at the chapel at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
