Lifelong Resident Dies
In Sharon Township
MANCHESTER - George E. Hawley, 65, lifelong resident of Sharon township, died at his farm home yesterday afternoon after a long illness.
He was born in the township on Sept. 13, 1884, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Hawley. He was married to Rose Frey on May 22, 1907.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, George; a brother, William of Lapeer; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Dingman of Horseshoe Lake.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. A. A. Weinert of the Sharon Evangelical and United Brethren Church at 2 o'clock Saturday in the Jenter Funeral Home, Manchester.
Friends may call at the family home, 6910 Hashley Rd., until Saturday noon.
