Mrs. Watson
MILAN - Mrs. Margaret E. Watson, 81, of Milan and Tampa, Fla., widow of the founder of the American Furnace and Foundry in Milan, died Friday evening in Tampa.
Mrs. Watson was born Nov. 24, 1882, at Mono Road, Ont., Canada, a daughter of Thomas and Agnes Polley. She was married to Mr. Watson on Sept. 20, 1911, in Petrolia, Ont. He died Nov. 25, 1960.
The couple lived in Freemont, O., until coming to Milan in 1912. Mr. Watson founded American Furnace and Foundry in 1920. After he retired in 1931, they spent most of the winter months in Florida, living in Lakeland, then for the past several years in Tampa.
Mrs. Watson was a member of Marble Memorial Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star No. 106 of Milan and past-president of the Milan Women's Club.
Several cousins survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stevens and Bush Funeral Home, Milan, with the Rev. Roger W. Merrell officiating. Burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at noon Wednesday.
