Mrs. John Renz

Mrs. Clara D. Renz, 61 years old, wife of John Renz, died this morning at her home, 7465 Scio Church Rd., Lodi township, after a six-month illness.
Born June 7, 1887, in Lodi township, she was the daughter of Fred and Dorothy Eisele Furthmueller. She was married to Mr. Renz on Jan. 8, 1908. They resided in Freedom township until 1921, when they moved to their present home.
Mrs. Renz was a member of Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church of Freedom township.
Surviving, besides her husband, are four daughters, Mrs. Clark Schmid of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Oscar Marion of Ridgeway, Mich., Mrs. Leonard Uphause of Scio township, and Mrs. Kenneth Ulrich of Dexter; three sons, Alfred at home, Elton of Pleasant Lake, and Walter of Ann Arbor; and 10 grandchildren.
Also surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. Rose Hirth, Mrs. Margaret Schlee, Mrs. Herman Mayer, Mrs. Ernest Lutz, and Mrs. Fred Horning of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Gustave Lindeman of Lodi township, Mrs. William Gebhardt of Scio township; and two brothers, Fred Furthmueller of Freedom township, and Lorenz of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence and at 2:30 in Bethel Church. Rev. Theophil Menzel will officiate.
Burial will be at Bethel Church Cemetery.
