Pinckney Woman, 89, Dies In Rest Home
PINCKNEY - Mrs. Harriett Swarthout, 89, of Pinckney, died Friday in the Ardmore Rest Home in Farmington.
Born March 25, 1866, she was the daughter of Charles and Lena Cordley. The former Cordley farm is now the White Lodge subdivision on Cordley Lake three miles east of here.
Mrs. Swarthout was the widow of Herman H. Swarthout, who died in January, 1931.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Beth Kennedy, of Pinckney; and two sons, Arthur of California, and Harold of Detroit.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Swarthout Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. W. Winger will officiate. Burial will be in Pinckney Cemetery.
