YPSILANTI - Haskell E. King, 74 years old, resident of this vicinity for nearly his entire life, died yesterday at his home, 406 Oak St., following a short illness with heart disease.
He was born April 24, 1863, in Salem Township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John King, and 52 years ago he married Miss Mittie D. Shekell, in Ann Arbor. For a few years the couple made their home in Farwell, but then returned to Washtenaw county, and for the past 25 years have lived in the same home where his death occurred.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, Norman, Detroit; George, Ann Arbor, and Floyd, Ypsilanti; three daughters, Mrs. Harriett Dodge and Mrs. Ernest Borck, both of Detroit, and Mrs. George Padgett, Ypsilanti, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the Stevens & Bush funeral home here, with Rev. William R. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, this city.
