Age 60, died Sunday, February 8, 1976 after a long illness at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born June 28, 1915 in Sharon Township, the son of Carlos and Mary Buss Dorr. On April 21, 1935, he married Thelma Jones; she survives. Mr. Dorr worked for the Chelsea Lumber Co. for the past 15 years. Survivors besides his wife include: three sons, Duane, Howard and Steven Dorr; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Catherine) Draper, all of Chelsea; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Mildred) Smith and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Rhines, both of Jackson; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 12 at the Burghardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin H. McCallum officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10.
