Description
This exhibit of new work by returning artist Gale Nobes features stunning black and white photographs of Michigan nature – lakes, dunes and forests – with their rich tonal qualities, brilliant filtering, and spectacular views. Nobes' black and white infrared photography creates images that are at once surreal and evocative of the intense beauty of the natural world. Digital infrared photography allows him to revisit and enhance the expected view of nature using unseen light, the invisible lightwaves of the infrared spectrum.
Gale Nobes is a Michigan artist and former chairman of the Muskegon River Watershed Council.
