Retired Dairyman Dies After Illness Frederick H. E. Jaeger, 78, retired dairyman, died this morning at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a week's illness. He lived at 519 Pauline Blvd. He was born Sept. 19, 1877, in Detroit, the son of Frederick and Sophia Maus Jaeger. On June 13, 1907, he married Augusta Behnke of Ann Arbor. She survives. He was associated with the Ann Arbor Dairy and the West Side Dairy as a dairyman for many years before retiring in 1951. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Fred H. W. Jaeger, foreman of the The Ann Arbor News' composing room, and Carl W., also of Ann Arbor; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Eisele of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Conrad Miller of Pelkie, Mich., and Mrs. Ernest Preuss of Manistique; and 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Copeland of Detroit, and Miss Clara Elvira Jaeger of Walled Lake. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Muehlig Chapel, with the Rev. Walter S. Press officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
