Long Illness Fatal To Ann Arbor Woman
Mrs. Mary Ann Boorom, 76, wife of Cyrus F. Boorom, a former employe of The Ann Arbor News, died this morning at her home, 1817 Pontiac St., after a long illness.
Mrs. Boorom was born on Dec. 10, 1874, on a farm north of Kitchener, Ont., a daughter of Henry and Catherine Hess, and was married to Mr. Boorom in Detroit on Oct. 28, 1908. The couple had lived in Ann arbor since 1922.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband; one son Ralph D. Boorom; and two grandsons, Robert Boorom at home, and Donald Boorom with the U.S. Navy.
Other survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Lena Rowden of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Tena White of Detroit and Mrs. Emma Lenover of Springfield, O.; and three brothers, Henry, Albin and Stephen Hess, all of Kitchener, Ont.
Funeral services have not yet been arranged. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel.
