Services Planned Here For Prominent Alumnus
Funeral services in New York City today for Marion B. (Bullets) Stahl, 37-year-old lawyer and University of Michigan graduate, will be followed by interment in Forest Hill cemetery here Friday morning. Arrangements for the burial have been made by W. Hackley Butler, fraternity brother of Mr. Stahl, who died yesterday in New York following an operation.
A member of the first of Stahl & Updike, attorneys for the New York Daily News, Mr. Stahl practiced in Chicago for several years before transferring to New York in 1934. He was graduated from the University in 1923, later receiving his law degree here. While in school, he was managing editor of the Michigan Daily.
Detroit and Chicago members of Theta Delta Chi fraternity of which he was a member, will come to Ann Arbor, for the burial services. Mr. Stahl specialized in newspaper litigation and for many years represented the newspaper interests of the McCormick family. Representatives of these interests in Chicago and New York will be here also for the cemetery rites.
Mr. Stahl was married to Dorothy Bennetts, a daughter of Mrs. Sam Bennetts of 706 Arch St. Mrs. Stahl's sister, Marjorie, also lives here, and a brother, Leslie Bennetts, resides in Detroit.
