Earl L. Hankins
Former Barber Dies In Veterans Hospital

Earl L. Hankins, 63, a member of the John Philip Sousa band during World War I and for 25 years a barber in Detroit, died yesterday at the Veterans Hospital here.
He was born on Junly 28, 1890, at Mechanicsburg, Ill., a son of Samuel and Lucy Hankins.
Survivors include two sisters, Dr. Lillie S. Hankins of Battle Creek and Mrs. Walter Bronson of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home, the Rev. C. H. Loucks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home
