MERLE W. TROUT

Saline Township Resident Succumbs

SALINE—Merle W. Trout, 73, died Tuesday night at his home, 12976 Macon Rd., Saline township.

He was born Sept. 4, 1884, in Van Buren, O. a son of Sylvanas and Rachel Kempher Trout. He was married to Amy Peffley on Feb. 12, 1907. She died in 1919.

He married Mrs. Edith Gro. She died in 1942.

Mr. Trout had lived in the Saline community for 48 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Macon.

Five daughters survive. They are Mrs. Carroll Holbert of Holton, Mrs. William McTaggart of Saline, Mrs. Walter Kleinschmidt of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Robert Wilson of Port Huron and Mrs. Raymond Roseboom of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, Donald of Ann Arbor and Louis of Fullerton, Calif.; a brother, Charles Trout of Van Buren, O.; a sister, Mrs. Eliphus Silveus, also of Van Buren; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lockwood Funeral Home here. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Van Buren, O., cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
