Passed away Friday, July 28, 2000 at the Christian park Health Care Center in Escanaba, MI following a lengthy illness. She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on March 13, 1912, the daughter of Hans E. and Martha Marie (Jensen) Hansen. She lived in Ann Arbor most of her life. She moved to Bark River in 1993, following the death of her husband Ernest, to be near her son and his family. Rigmor married Ernest A.G. Schenk on November 23, 1935. She is survived by a son, Ernest E. (Linda) Schenk of Bark River, five brothers, Ralph M. Hansen of Holiday, FL, Erling J. Hansen of Ann Arbor, MI, Robert V. (Lois) Hansen, James D. Hansen, both of Manchester, MI and H. Elwood Hansen of Saline, MI; one sister, Victoria J. Moessner of Fairbanks, AK; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Helge E. Hansen in 1984; and a grandson in 1966. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL, 403 S. Fourth Ave. with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Washtenong Memorial Park.
