The Democratie committee in New York have issued a circular to the officeholders of the city, saying they want money "to maintain the ascendancy of the party in this State, and the long-established usages of the party givcs the committee a-right ló cali upon all persons holding office under the authority óf the State government, or by election of the party, for contributions.
