Alfred S. Haab
DEXTER—Alfred S. Haab, 81, of 8020 Forest St., a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the area, died Thursday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor following a brief illness.
Mr. Haab was born on April 30, 1879, in Webster township, a son of John and Christine Zahn Haab. He had never married.
A member of St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ here, Mr. Haab was a member of a pioneer Dexter area family.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Haab will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Bendle Funeral Home in Dexter, with the Rev. Donald Eaton officiating.
Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Dexter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ.
