At Iris residence in Gilead, (Mich.) Feb. 7, of iiiilamation of the lungs, L. L. Gkaium, nged 51 years. His Uness was of ten day.s duration. Hisdenth was tliat of a Christian. lie left a widow and six children to mourn his loss. He had been a resident of the State fiftecn years. He was a warm friend of the slave, and in the nntislavery caus lie spnred neitlier labor nor iinoney. He gave the first Liberty vote cast in Gilead in 1844. In the year following tliirteeen Liberty votes werc gïyen in that town. Com.
