Mrs. Isabelle B. Kelsey, widow of Prof. F. W. Kelsey, prominent University archeologist who died May 14, 1927, died this morning following several years of illness. She was 82 years old.
Although Mrs. Kelsey had not lived in Ann Arbor for some time she was well remembered here as a social and civic leader during the days when her husband was a professor of Latin language and literature on the University staff as well as being director of Near East research for the University.
Survivors include a son, Easton Kelsey, Toronto, Ontario; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth K. Diel, Hanford, Wash., and Mrs. Charlotte K. Hubley, Garden City, L. I., and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Muehlig chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. William P. Lemon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
