Isaac E. Simpson, formerly of Ann Arbor, died last night at the home of his son, Otto Simpson, in Detroit, where he had resided since last October. He had been ill for the past few months.
He was born March 9, 1858 in Blenheim, Ont., and had been a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 20 years, coming here from Lansing. He was married to Mary Conlin, who died May 28, 1907. In 1912 he was married to Lottie Ross Brinker of Ann Arbor. She died Sept. 30, 1936.
Surviving are the son, Otto, and the daughter, Mrs. John Newell, both of Detroit; two granddaughters; and two brothers, Martin Simpson of Lowell, Mich., and Oliver Simpson of Saranac, Mich.
Funeral service will be held at Muehlig funeral chapel, with Rev. Frederick Cowan officiating. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after today.
