Mrs. Helen May Hewitt

YPSILANTI—Word was received here yesterday of the death in Los Angeles, Calif., of Mrs. Helen May Hewitt, 71 years old, native and for many years a resident of Ypsilanti, who died Thursday night in a hospital in the California city following an extended illness. She was the widow of the late Walter Hewitt.

Mrs. Hewitt was born Dec. 10, 1868, in Ypsilanti, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. May, and had spent most of her life here. For a number of years she was clerk in the local post office, but for the past several years had lived in Santa Monica, Calif.

Surviving are one son, John, of Alhambra, Calif., two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
