Mrs. Wickliffe
YPSILANTI—Mrs. Amanda Wickliffe, 81, of 432 Ainsworth Circle, died Sunday night in a local hospital.
She was born Feb. 7, 1884, in Ypsilanti, a daughter of James and Emma Eaton Curry. She was married to George Freeman who preceded her in death. In 1937, she was married to Ellsworth Wickliffe who survives.
She was past worthy matron of Ruth Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and past president of both the Palm Leaf Club and the MOMs Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Leaner, Hubel and Garvin Freeman; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Williams and Mrs. Gloria O’Neal; three brothers, Edward, Albert and Gerald Curry, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Smith. All are from Ypsilanti.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Brown Chapel AME Church with the Rev. William J. Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Alban Cemetery. Friend may call at Lucille’s Funeral Home.
