Mrs. Genevieve K. Westgate, 80, of 334 Thompson St., died Tuesday at the Whitehall Convalescent Home after a six-week illness.

She was born July 23, 1884, in Clinton, Mich., a daughter of John B. and Carrie Kishpaugh. She was graduated from Ferris Institute and Eastern Michigan Normal College, and had taught in the Jackson County schools.

She was married to Arthur N. Brewer in 1913, and he died in 1918. In 1924 she was married to Dr. C. H. Westgate in Adrian. He died in 1937.

She had lived in Ann Arbor since 1938.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur N. Brewer of Morenci and Dr. Wilson K. Brewer of Ann Arbor; one grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Robert McGregor and Mrs. Lee Yeagley both of Sand Creek, and Mrs. W. C. Preston of Deerfield; and two brothers, John Kishpaugh of Addison and Kenneth Kishpaugh of Sand Creek.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Douglas Chapel of First Congregational Church. The Rev. Raymond Barstow will officiate. The body has been cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stair Public Library at Morenci or the research fund of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Arrangements were made by the Muehlig Chapel.
