"Prosecuting Attorney William F. Delhey is asking for help from the public in the search for a pair of purple shoes, like the ones shown above, in the investigation of the murder of Alice E. Kalom. Miss Kalom bought a pair of shoes identical to these on June 7, the day before she was slain. So far, police have been unable to locate the patent leather shoes. Officers believe it is possible the killer has or had the shoes in his possession."
