Riding up the only escalator in Ann Arbor is Russ Whiteford, an employe of Wagner's, one of the two newly renovated stores in the State St. shopping area. The moving stairs are located between Crown House of Gifts and Wagner's clothing. Both businesses occupy the same building but there has not been a merger, according to the store owners.
