SALINE – Mrs. Christina L. Rogers died last night at her home, 6039 Saline Rd., after an illness of nearly two months.
She was born in Canada on Feb. 22, 1874, and had lived in the Saline area for 45 years. She married Ellwood C. Rogers on Jan. 5, 1897. He died in 1937.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by a son, Lance of Saline; three daughters, Mrs. William Burkhardt also of Saline, Mrs. Clarence Gauss of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Gottlieb Walter of Lodi township; three brothers, Albert and Henry Fahner of Crediton, Ont., and Edward of Exitor, Ont.; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon in the Lockwood Funeral Home, with Rev. Alvin Siemsen officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
