Age 84, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 1974, at Huron View Lodge. He was born Oct. 20, 1890 in Fowlerville, Mich. the son of Silas and Nettie Reed Fowler. On Nov. 11, 1930, Mr. Fowler married the former Opal M. Lilley who survives. Mr. Fowler had been an Ann Arbor resident since 1910. He operated Fowler's Coffee Shop and Pancake House from 1947-1971. He was employed at the Ann Arbor Dairy from 1938 to 1945 and was a partner in the Superior dairy from 1945 to 1949. Mr. Fowler also was associated with the Good and Fresh Popcorn & Potato Chip Co. He was past Master of Golden Rule Lodge 159 Zal Gaz Grotto. Survivors besides his wife include: one son, William E. of Ann Arbor; one daughter, Mrs. Doyle (Sandra) Samons of Ann Arbor; three grandsons, Jerry B., David B. and James W.; one great-grandson, Jason Michael; one brother, Ival G. Fowler of St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Golden Rule Lodge 159.
