Mrs. Eglantine Marien LeBeau, 83, died this morning at her home, 2124 Abbott Ave., following a long illness.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1878, in L'Epiphanie, Quebec, a daughter of Severin and Emilie Goyette Marien.
She was married in February, 1898, in Calumet, Mich., to Wilfried LeBeau, and made her home there until her husband's death in April, 1923. Since then she has been a resident of Ann Arbor.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and of its Altar Society.
She is survived by a son, Clarence E. of Huron Beach, Mich., and four daughters, Miss Wilda LeBeau, Mrs. A. J. (Aurora) Forbes, and Mrs. William H. (Meredith) Montgomery, all of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Harmon (Maryrose) Dunham of Benton Harbor.
Mrs. Montgomery is a former News' editorial department librarian.
Also surviving are one brother and three sisters in Canada, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Harvey, Wilfried, Ernest and Olan and two daughters, Donelda and Adionne.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from St. Thomas Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Muehlig Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
