Lawrence N. McCleer
GREGORY - Lawrence Nicholas McCleer, 70 years old, and a resident of Livingston county all his life, died yesterday morning at his home in Gregory after a lingering illness. He was born Dec. 7, 1869.
Mr. McCleer married Nellie Grebney, of Pinckney, Feb. 12, 1896. He spent his life as a building contractor and was, for the past few years, a bridge builder for the Livingston county road commission.
Surviving are the widow; a brother, Arthur J., of Gregory, and eight children, Sister Maristella, of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Grosse Pte.; Wilfrid, Neil and Maida, all of Detroit; Clyde of Gregory; Mrs. Arthur Jones of Howell; Marion, of Brighton, and Mrs. Jack Draper, DeCatur, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock tomorrow from the St. Mary's church in Pinckney. Burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery there.
