The Unknown

        It’s the year 3021, nuclear warfare has broken out, america expands taking Greenland, Canada, Mexico, and South America. Russia expands as well taking Asia, Great Britain, Africa and everything between.  From the ashes of war two major countries had formed, a century of peace has fallen onto the two countries, and with the Economic boom space travel was finally been accessible to the world. You are a captain of one of the first colonization frigates that are to colonize unknown planets in the far reaches of our universe. You are tasked with colonizing a planet that is entirely composed of a single ocean biome. You expect to have a pleasant voyage, it's exactly the opposite. When the ship is entering the atmosphere of the planet a large green beam of light shoots up from the surface of the planet and cuts the ship in half. All systems are fried, there is no hope for the people on board your ship. When the ship finally rests on the bottom of the ocean you black out. You awake to find that the bridge is filling up with water, you scramble to a nearby airlock and find a modified a space suit that is made to allow maneuverability in the water. You put the suit on and escape through a broken window. You find an island with a vast jungle covering it and a massive volcano protruding from the jungle that you later find. You use some metal scrap you find to make a shelter and a spear to use to catch a couple of fish. When you finally get some time to think you fall into a deep depression and you feel as if you have been sat up. You spend the next 9 years on the island and explore it. After the following years you see a green beam shoot up from the ocean and and a large ship falls to the ocean floor. You swim as fast as possible to try to save any survivors, you only save one. You take her back to the island of which you call home. She has minor wounds and you patch them up as best as you can, during this she blacks out. As you finish bandaging her wounds small pieces of wreck are still falling from the sky and you move her to the safety of your shelter. There is only enough room for one person in your shelter so you let her have the space and walk toward a nearby cave to seek shelter. After the shower of metal wreckage you go to check on her. She is still sleeping, you walk out to the water and swim towards the wreck of a ship that brought you to this place of loneliness, coral and other wildlife have taken it over and now call it home. You get to a old airlock and take one of the modified suits from the shelf and take it back to the island where you find that she has left the shelter. You leave the suit by the shelter so you can go look for her. You find her patrolling the jungle with a gun. The vegetation hides you from her line of sight and when you emerge she whips around and points the gun at you. She is shaking frantically and is telling you to step back. The 9 years have affected you tremendously, you can’t speak and you don’t know what to say even if you could. You bend down and write in the sand that you’ve been on the planet for 9 years and that you have forgotten how to talk. When she reads it you get to get a good look at her. She has ginger hair and green eyes, she looks like a Irish women from the books you had read back home, she’s about 6 foot tall and towers over you, there is a name tag barely hanging to her shirt that says “Sarah”. She's still scared and has her hand firmly attached to her gun. You realize that she can’t see your face and you take your helmet off slowly. She sees your face and she realizes that the past 5 hours have been real. You have forgotten your name during the 9 years as well as your age. You’ve been used to just being lonely and the feeling of company feels strange. You muster up few words and you realize you sound stupid when you say them as if you were an indian trying to speak english. Then speech comes back to you and you begin to chat with her. You tell her about what happened on your ship and all the happenings of what has taken place since then. You both head back to the shelter and you give it to her. You go collect the scrap metal from her ship that had landed on the island. After you collect the scrap you start building a shelter on top of the mountain which rested on the island. The next day you both go explore an underwater cave you had located while you were searching for survivors. You both head inside then and go deep within the planet's crust and you both see very strange things. You see huge skeletons and crushed bones all around the cave and you start to get anxious. The women calls you a chicken and you both go deeper. You start running into lakes of magma and then it shows up. A HUGE creature crashes through the wall and with one swoop of one of its huge tentacles kills your new companion. You escape and now you find yourself on top of the mountain on your island. Her death happened a year ago and ever since then you’ve been lonely, mentally unstable, and a unimaginable depression has been pecking at your mind. You jump off the side of the mountain and close your eyes. You feel a quick pain than nothing, only a spine chilling wind can be heard.  You're alone forever...
