Edward R. Dow, sr., of 727 Miller Ave., died this morning at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital after a short illness. Born in Detroit in 1886, he had lived here for the past 18 years.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Edward R. Dow, jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Bowen, Ann Arbor, Miss Laura S. Dow, Ypsilanti, Miss Carol M. Dow, Detroit; three brothers, William F. Dow, and Marcus A. Dow, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lawrence D. Dow, Detroit.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Staffan-Hildinger funeral home, with Rev. F. E. Zendt officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial park. Friends may call at the funeral home.
