HOWELL - Dr. Wilfred H. Erwin, a prominent Howell veterinarian for 60 years and father of Livingston county's prosecuting attorney, died Nov. 25 at McPherson Health Center in Howell. He was 82.
Dr. Erwin operated a small animal hospital at 402 W. Grand River Blvd. in Howell before retiring a year ago.
He was born in Clinton, Ontario, Can., on Sept. 7, 1876, a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Erwin of Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mae; a son, Wilfred H. Erwin, jr., Livingston county's prosecuting attorney; and three granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at the MacDonald Funeral Home of Howell, with the Rev. Walter Geske officiating. Burial was in Howell's Lakeview Cemetery.
