Civic Ballet Sponsors Performance Jan. 13

Jose Greco and his company
of Spanish dancers will appear
in Ann Arbor under the aus-
pices of the Ann Arbor Civic Ballet.
The group will give one per-
formance, on Jan. 13, on the
stage of the Michigan Theater.
Greco is known as the danc-
ing star of “Around the World
in 80 Days.” Among the group
of ballet dancers are Lupe Del
Rio, Dolores Del Carmen, Paco
Fernandez, Manuella De Jerez,
Pepita Sevilla, Jose Melina and
Lola deRonda.
They will present the ballets
of Verdiales, Anda Jaleo, Va-
lencia Fantasy and Petenera.
Also to appear are flamenco
dancers Rosario Caro and Ra-
mon Velez, with guitarist Mi-
guel Garcia and pianist Roger
Machado.
Jose Greco’s company recent-
ly appeared for a month at the
Sadler’s Wells Theater during
the festival of Britain.
