COUSINS SHOP OPENS: The newly-decorated, 25x90-foot Cousins Shop of 309 S. State St. was re-opened this week nearly two years after a fire in a nearby store caused heavy smoke damage and forced the Cousins firm to close. The store is of modern decor, with some Colonial period overtones. Four dressing rooms each use different-type wallpaper and white wallpaper "brick" is widely used. A marquee-type overhand defines an accessory department, giving this area a shop-within-a-shop appearance.
