Leo Tolstoy probably would have found himself in political agreement with democracy, were he living today, the Russian novelist's granddaughter said here yesterday.
Marie Tolstoy, visiting instructor in Russian at the University this summer, discussed several aspects of her grandfather's political and personal life in a U-M lecture.
