An ordinance amendment, changing the names of five streets in the recently annexed Lakewood subdivision, was approved at second and final reading last night by the1 City Council.

Oakwood Ave. was changed to Lakewood Dr. to preserve the name of the subdivision. At the first reading Oakwood was changed to Oaklake.
Twelve subdivision residents petitioned for the change in the name of the street.
Names of the other streets changed are: Grace Ave. to Gralake Ave., Highland Ave. to Highlake Ave., Park Ave to Parklake Ave. and Sunset Rd. to Sunny-wood Dr.
